We provide holistic mental health support that empowers individuals to build emotional resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and improve overall well-being. Our approach centers on meeting people where they are, creating safe spaces for growth, healing, and self-discovery.

T.U. C. delivers evidence-informed, trauma-responsive programming that integrates hip-hop therapy, social-emotional learning, & prevention education. Workshops are designed to increase self-awareness, reduce risk behaviors, & strengthen resilience among youth in schools, community programs and juvenile justice systems
This training equips staff with the theoretical foundation and practical tools necessary to implement Hip Hop Therapy. TUC staff will guide participants through a multimodal training experience
This package offers a group therapy experience over five weeks, designed to help youth engage with their emotions and life experiences through Hip Hop culture. Participants will develop skills in emotional expression, coping strategies, and positive self-reflection. The group will culminate in the creation and performance of individual rap or slam poetry pieces, providing youth with a creative outlet for their voices.
The T.R.U.T.H. program connects participants with the core elements of Hip-Hop culture as a means of self-expression and empathy building. Through engaging activities and education, youth will explore the origins and creative processes behind Breakdancing, Graffiti, DJing, and MCing. The program encourages participants to express themselves using these elements, culminating in a creative project.
This intensive one-week camp dives deep into the therapeutic potential of Hip-Hop culture, combining social consciousness with self-expression. Participants will explore Hip-Hop as a tool for personal healing, social activism, and collective empowerment. The camp integrates music, storytelling, and mindfulness techniques to address mental health through a culturally relevant lens.
TUC offers an engaging 1-hour presentation focused on the importance of mental health care. This interactive session addresses topics such as coping with depression, anxiety, and trauma through the lens of Hip-Hop Therapy. The presentation includes a dialogue with the audience and an activity that introduces Hip-Hop Therapy as a mental health tool.
TUC provides personalized consultation services to help organizations develop customized programs tailored to the needs of their youth participants. This package includes three additional hours of direct program support to ensure smooth implementation.
We also customize programs for youth and staff.

This scholarship is dedicated to empowering young people to pursue a life worth living—one filled with purpose, growth, and possibility. Through this fund, we aim to support youth in overcoming challenges, investing in their futures, and carrying forward Diana’s legacy of resilience, love, and hope.

Yocasta Jimenez, LMSW (affectionately known as Yogi in the community), is committed to integrating Hip-Hop culture into Teens Under Construction, Inc. as a powerful tool to unite the community. By using cultural communication, she fosters youth engagement and promotes educational growth.

Shamar Watson, LMSW, recognizes the significance of providing youth with opportunities to empower themselves through self-expression. For Shamar, Hip-Hop is not just music; it’s a culture and a powerful conduit that connects young people to the importance of addressing their mental health.
